WNAX Drivetime
I grew up in Tyndall, SD graduating from Bon Homme High School in 2003. I spent my first semester of college at SDSU and then transferred to USD where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Contemporary Media and Journalism with a minor in Leadership Studies. YEAH!
I spent three years of my life being royal serving as a Czech Queen. I began as the Tabor Czech Days Queen (every year the third weekend in June – Tabor, SD), moved on to be the South Dakota Czech-Slovak Queen, and finally spent my last of the three years as the Miss Czech-Slovak USA Queen 2004-2005. I gave up my reign in August of 2005 and have since had to adapt to life as a commoner.
I actually got my job here at WNAX because of my Queen-ship. I came into the station to do an interview with Jim Reimler about being the Tabor Czech Days Queen and to promote Czech Days. I told him about wanting to go into radio and before I left the building that morning, he had me filling out an application. I started in August of 2004 as a button pusher and part-time slave and continue now as a button pusher and full-time slave!
My plan is to stay with WNAX and The Wolf for a long time, slowly and steadily working on taking over (but don’t tell anyone). You can find me from 9am to noon on The Wolf every day of the week or filling in on WNAX when someone (usually Jim) takes a day off. And don't forget about WNAX drivetime - 4-6pm!
My parents Glenn and Michele still live in Tyndall all alone now with empty nest syndrome. Both of my brothers Kyle & Adam are attending SDSU for partying (or at least that's what I think) and my sister Jill is studying Forensic Science at DSU in Madison.
