The longtime voice of South Dakota State University football and men’s basketball has been at WNAX since 1992.

Steve is a six time winner of the South Dakota Associated Press Sportscaster of the Year and was named 1998 Sportscaster of the Year in South Dakota by the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association. He was named the recipient of the Kolpack Media Award from the North Central Conference in 2004.

Steve has over twenty years of experience in the radio industry and also worked some thirteen years as a Greyhound Racing Official. In other words, he’s old. But a good crisp bugle rendition of “Call to the Post” can get him moving in an instant.
