Lip Sync Ladies in Chicago

July 3rd, 2009 by Erin

I was looking back over some of the pictures I took while in Chicago and I completely forgot about our billboard. You wouldn’t believe unless you could see it and here it is! I mean with the world tour and all - we had to do some major publicity work! Hopefully the tour will end soon and the Ladies can return to making videos for you!

We were on our way to Wrigley field when I spotted one of our billboards!

I brought my Godson his first swing so he could enjoy it at home. Dad tied it to the tree and Mommy strapped Marshall in and off we went! A great evening for swinging and I do believe Marshall enjoyed it! I hope you find something as enjoyable to do for your Independence Weekend! ~ erin

One Nation Under GOD!

July 2nd, 2009 by Erin

A moving performance and fitting to remind all what the 4th of July is truly about. Our freedom is earned thanks to these people. THANK YOU to all those who serve!

Our nation was founded under God and I believe wheather you believe in God or not - we could not have created this nation without a higher power - whatever that God may be to you - something helps us everyday and I acknowledge that presence today and everyday in my life. And if you have the time - please say a prayer for Peace. God Bless ~ erin

Scott wants you to eat healthy and balanced. I don’t care which pyramid you use…so long as you get a little of each group. ~ erin

Tiger Meat

Tiger meat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tiger meat is a raw beef dish. Despite the name, it is made with meat from bovines, not tigers. Recipes tend to vary, but they do have common ingredients that include: raw beef, raw egg, onion, salt, pepper, and other seasonings. Similar to how sashimi must be fresh to be eaten (typically with sushi), the raw beef must be fresh in order to avoid exposure to bacteria such as E Coli. Preparation involves simply mixing the ingredients together in a bowl, then serving on crackers. It is closely related to Steak Tartare, and is common in Midwestern US states, such as North Dakota and South Dakota, with significant German and Czech populations.

If you don’t know anyone like this then you are lucky because these kind of people just make the situation worse. And actually I bet you do know someone like this - Dee is just like this! Of course she does swell up a bit when stung so I can’t blame her!

It is no secret...I am a Taylor Swift Fan! Not a crazy nut fan - but I like her and I just discovered this from the CMT awards a few weeks ago! Don't know how I missed it - she is too funny! And below is her new music video...

Billy Mays Dies

June 29th, 2009 by Erin

billymays

It seems like Hollywood is on death row…first Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and now Billy Mays. It is a sad thing that Oxiclean will now have to sell itself.

All kidding aside - thoughts and prayers go to all families that lose loved ones, famous or not.

I’m back…for at least a little while!

June 29th, 2009 by Erin

Back from my ‘vacation.’ I did manage to squeeze in a few days at the hills this weekend to give myself a vacation! We took the Harley out to the Hills and it was spectacular. I have never seen the Hills from a bike and it is something to do if you ever get the chance. It is just a different and great view! And the photographer that I claim to be I got no pictures! But on the bike with no saddle bags - a camera is not easy to transport. I lost my cell phone in Custer…thought I lost it off the bike but I ended up just leaving it at a restaraunt - so I recovered that!

We also got pulled over on the bike because the Hy-po thought it was too loud and wanted to make sure we weren’t running straight pipes! And we were NOT so he let us go…said they are cracking down on loud bikes in the hill - people are sick of them. Well then I ask, “Are they sick of all the money the bikers spend there too?” Because if they are…then complain about the bikes - if not…then shut up!

Ok…I am done ranting and probably should actually do some work today! Hope you had a great weekend and will talk to you more this afternoon during Drivetime! ~ erin

I dropped the cake…

June 25th, 2009 by Erin

cake

…I must be having one of those days because I dropped the cake! I was in charge of one thing today - make Jon’s Birthday cake! I made it - maybe someone else should have been in charge of transporting it to the party.

It did land frosting down…but it landed on the lid (mostly) and I had just swept the stairs AND I did remove all the cake that was touching the floor. Not enough time to make another and no more cake mix. Shh - if you don’t say anything - I won’t….AND I will just cut the cake before anyone realizes it looks like this. Just letting you know that you probably don’t want me having anything to do with your birthday cake!
